Ian Forbes is a London-based Scottish Director of Photography, holding both British and Irish (EU) passports. 

His recent film and television credits include THE SEVERED SUN (feature, DarkSky/Grasp The Nettle), INTO THE DEEP (feature, Sky Cinema), FIFTEEN LOVE (TV series, Amazon/World Productions – 2nd Unit DoP), and HEARTSTOPPER Series 2 & 3 (TV series, Netflix – 2nd Unit DoP).

Ian’s short film work includes the BAFTA and BIFA award-winning EDMOND. He was nominated as a BSC Emerging Cinematographer in 2015.

He holds a Master’s degree from the National Film and Television School, supported by a BAFTA Scholarship, and a First-Class BA (Hons) from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, Scotland.
